the royal saga of lakes and tearsonce upon a timein a land beyond the sea lived a little girl and her name was kimberly she was not a normal person just like you and me kimberly was a princess as you could easily see up came a thousand princes they fought for the princess' hand but kimberly rode her pony across the kingdom land the pony's name was tony for a pony a dumb name but for a pony as dumb as tony all names just sound the same the princes they felt lonely they couldn't understand why kimberly rode her pony while they were close at hand drinking tea they stared at our kimberly in the field through brooks and rain and branches while tony was her shield now tony, small and bony, was dying of sheer thirst he was a kind of phony 'cause he wasn't a pony first kimberly pulled the hand brake and steered with steady hand tony to a fresh lake the freshest in the land kimberly sat and tony drank the princes dropped their tea 'cause nature played a funny prank and they could clearly see as tony drank his skin fell off and in the buff arose a fair young poet whose first words were: hey dude, gimmie some clothes! yes, our tony was bewitched his wits had slipped apart but now the water had him stitched to kimberly's loving heart together they walked back to where the princes sounded cheers and with the poet's old pony hair they dried up all their tears so if you see a lonely girl and a pony, for goodness sake don't think once or even twice just get them to that lake and if you ever wander there while it's your tears that drip you may wanna lose some pony hair feel free to take a sip |
