Pildash Pildash

Pildash is a son of Nahor with Milcah.

The name Pildash is possibly derived from the word pelada (pelada 1771), iron or steel. It's used only once in Nah 2:3, "the chariots are enveloped in flashing steel". Where the final shin in the name comes from is for all to guess at, but some suggest from the word esh ('esh 172) meaning fire. This word is used in conjunction with the only occurrence of pelada and translated with "flashing" in the Nahum quote above.

The name Pildash means Steely (NOBSE) or Flashing Steel.
