But when the king heard [thereof,] he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

When they had heard [these words,] they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

And when the multitude heard [this,] they were astonished at his doctrine.

But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

Some of them that stood there, when they heard [that,] said, This [man] calleth for Elias.

And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

And again he entered into Capernaum, after [some] days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

When Jesus heard [it,] he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and [from] beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.

And when his friends heard [of it,] they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:

And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and [their] sins should be forgiven them.

And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,

And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive [it,] and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear [it. ]

When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing [him] were astonished, saying, From whence hath this [man] these things? and what wisdom [is] this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

And king Herod heard [of him;] (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

But when Herod heard [thereof,] he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.

For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

And when his disciples heard [of it,] they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.

And when he had called all the people [unto him,] he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one [of you,] and understand:

If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

For a [certain] woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:

And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

And when the ten heard [it,] they began to be much displeased with James and John.

And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, [thou] Son of David, have mercy on me.

And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard [it. ]

And the scribes and chief priests heard [it,] and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is,] Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he [then] his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for [such things] must needs be; but the end [shall] not [be] yet.

And when they heard [it,] they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

And some of them that stood by, when they heard [it,] said, Behold, he calleth Elias.
