The adverb or conjunction ναι (nai) is an adverb of strong affirmation. It means "sure!" or "surely!" and can be used as an answer to a question (Matthew 9:28) or to fortify a declaration (Matthew 5:37). It's used 35 times in the New Testament; see full concordance.
