The verb אוץ ('uz) means to hasten (Joshua 10:13, Proverbs 28:20) or press into hurrying (Genesis 19:15, Exodus 5:13). It may also be used to describe the narrowness of one's living space (Joshua 17:15). This verb has no extant derivatives.
