🔼The name Hanoch in the Bible

There are two Hanochs mentioned in the Bible:

  • A son of Midian, who is a son of Abraham with Keturah (Genesis 25:4).
  • A son of Reuben, the first born son of Jacob and Leah (Genesis 46:9). This Hanoch (חנוך) would become the patriarch of the חנכי, the Hanochites (Numbers 26:5).
